Closure on 5 July 2010 of the permanent exhibition on the history of Mauthausen concentration camp and the fate of Austrians in other concentration camps

At the start of July the first phase in the restructuring of Mauthausen Memorial will commence and will continue until 2012.

The first phase includes the closure of the infirmary building and the dismantling of the permanent exhibitions there. The exhibitions, which were designed forty years ago by Dr. Hans Maršálek, will be documented and made accessible in a reduced form from autumn 2010 in barrack 11.

Visitors to the memorial will also have the possibility from autumn 2010 of consulting the original exhibitions in virtual form on our website www.mauthausen-memorial.at
